Missing Left Sock Beast [userpic]

I am nervous, but not nervewracked, about the GRE.

Have you taken the practice tests? My brother tells me they are a very accurate indicator of your score.

Yes, I had; I was concerned about my math score but not so much about the Verbal.

As it turns out, based on my "unofficial" scores, I didn't really need to worry about either. :)

The GRE is fun. I took it on a computer which made it much more pleasant for me.

Well at least the logic part was fun to me. My gamer brain did pretty well at it too.

At least you probably won't have my experience with it....

I took the GRE about 2 blocks away from my old apartment at some Sylvan Learning center or another. As I was walking back to my apartment and crossing Santa Monica Blvd., a metallic purple flecked corvette with its windows open went streaking across the crosswalk right in front of me. Before I could stop myself, my video-game trained reflexes cocked and launched an impressive arc of water from the water bottle I had brought with me right into the open window of the bitchin purple 'vette.

So now you need to ask yourself....who drives a metallic flecked purple vette? The answer is, not someone you want to hose down with water.

It was instinct and reflexes that nailed this guy in the face. It was the will to live and a desire to avoid unnecesssary pain that motivated me to start running for my life. I have often said that I will only run when I am being chased. I speak from experience.

It took vette-boy about a block to register that I had hosed him down for being a dick and not stopping at the crosswalk. As he slammed on his breaks and put his car into reverse (with accompanying smoking tires), yours truly ran for my life.

Fig was staying over and was somewhat baffled when I arrived panting like a dog, closed the curtains and locked the doors and dropped onto the floor to recover from my sprint. "Um.....how was your exam?"

You'll do fine.

As long as you use your brain on the way there and back as well as during the exam itself.
