Missing Left Sock Beast [userpic]

Sad Boobies SFW. Really.

Today's imp was Pele:

Whimsical, temperamental, radiant and ravishingly beautiful Goddess of Volcanoes, Fire, Lightning and Dance. She is the Mother of Eruptions and the personification of destructive power. Volcanic eruptions are said to be a side-effect of her jealous rages and her epic quarrels with her siblings are legendary. This perfume embodies her gentler, benign aspect as the capricious Goddess of Dance: muguet and Hawaiian white ginger enveloped by warm, damp tropical blooms.

In the phial, it smells very strongly of Hawaiian White Ginger.
Wet, on me, still Hawaiian White Ginger
Dry, on me, I'm smelling both the Hawaiian White Ginger and plumeria.

I don't know what muguet smells like, so it's possible that it's the other floral note I'm picking up, but I'm not sure.

Now, a confession - I bought this scent expecting not to like it on me. I love Hawaiian White Ginger as a scent, but generally when it starts to pick up on my body chemistry I start to smell like a band-aid. There's something about this blend, though, that's keeping it from doing that. Yum.
